How Parent Coaching Impacted Our Family

My son was diagnosed with ADHD 3 years ago, around the time this picture was taken. We began with the traditional route that many other parents take-- therapies, counseling, treatments, and endless research.

Despite our efforts, we found ourselves stuck in survival mode— this chaos cycle included frequent phone calls from my son's school, my son having daily aggression and meltdowns, and tension between everyone in our family. The overwhelming stress I experienced over the next couple of years led to me slowly detaching from my family as well as having daily panic attacks.

The turning point came when I turned to a parent coach for help. Although I was skeptical because we had already received years of traditional therapies without much change, I was also desperate. Through the mentorship, support, and knowledge we gained from our coach, however, my husband and I were able to recognize and take accountability for our own behaviors and understand how our stress, fears, and upbringing influenced our parenting.

We shifted from trying to "fix" my son to addressing our entire family dynamics. In just a couple of months, the changes were remarkable—our entire family began to change in ways we couldn't have imagined. My son's physical aggression and daily meltdowns turned to weekly, then occasional instances. Our relationship with our boys, and even with each other, became stronger and more enjoyable. Those around us even noticed, and often asked what we were doing differently that led to these changes.

Instead of just "surviving" each day, we were connecting deeply, teaching our sons skills to build their resilience, and working with other adults in his life so that the label "ADHD" no longer dictated his daily experiences.

Inspired by our family's and son's transformation, I became a parent coach to help other families experience the same empowerment. Traditional approaches often fall short because they focus solely on the child. But children don’t learn and grow in isolation; they need continuous modeling and support at home. That’s why I emphasize a holistic approach, starting with parents and their environment.

Through this experience, I also learned the power of mentorship in other areas of life, including business and personal health. Each time, coaching has fast-tracked my progress and helped me to achieve goals I never thought possible.

If you’re ready to experience real change and bring peace, connection, and joy back into your family, I invite you to reach out. No, we are not a good fit for everyone. And yes, there’s an investment of time, energy, and resources—but the rewards are worth it.
